We have commissioned three new works in response to the RWA exhibition ‘Strange Worlds: Visions of Angela Carter’. They will be premiered at the RWA on Sunday 22nd January and repeated the following Sunday at St. Michael’s, Bath.

Congratulations to Emily Winsor, Sam MacDonald & Max Mitchell the shortlisted composers from this year’s Young Composers’ Prize. Hear their pieces performed by the brilliant Kokoro Ensemble at our season finale concert at St. George’s, Bristol on Sunday 18th September.
The chance to write for BSO’s brilliant contemporary specialists Kokoro and to collaborate in a project with internationally renowned sculptor Peter Randall-Page.
Our 2017 composition workshops will take place between January and March providing a fantastic opportunity to over 100 young composers. Composers aged from 15 to 19 from, or based in, the south-west of England (excluding those studying at university) are eligible.
